Honesty and integrity are important traits to have as a person. However, do honesty and lies often cancel out each other, or can we say that honesty is still a virtue?
Honesty is a lost virtue
“A man is defined by his actions and a woman by her honesty." - Eleanor Roosevelt This quote shows that it is still important for people to be honest no matter what kind of situation they are in.

In today's society, this is more important than ever before, where people lie all the time in order to get ahead or use others.
We need examples like Eleanor Roosevelt, who have shown us that being honest can get you anywhere and make great things happen.
When I was younger, honesty still existed as a virtue. You would be honest with your friends and not tell them a lie to get them to do something for you or about you.
You would also be honest in school, which made it easier at times if you had no intentions of lying by claiming that someone else cheated on the test when it was actually your fault. However, as I grew older and became more experienced in life, it seemed that honesty was becoming rarer and rarer. Nowadays, lying has become synonymous with being dishonest: everyone lies on their taxes, everyone lies about getting an award at work but ends up receiving one anyway; every politician ever elected has lied about what they believed would improve their chances of winning at least once.
Does honesty still exist as a virtue ?
What is honesty in today's world? Is it something we give up on because of the constant pressure from people to lie? Or do we try to be honest, yet succeed at something else?
Amazingly, there are some people who are so honest that they don't even say sorry when they make a mistake.
Yet, their integrity makes them successful in their careers because they admit to their mistakes and focus on moving forward.
For me, honesty is one of the virtues that I hold very dear to my heart.
Of course ,there are times i may have lied to save my ass .But guys ,no matter ,Saying the truth is the best .
Honesty, in my opinion, is often related to the ability to do the right thing. As a result, if you've ever tried your best to do the correct thing but in fact did what personally was not optimal, then it can be hard to keep your head held high when looking back at that past event. But here's a tip: don't try too hard sometimes.
This all means that we shouldn't really hold ourselves accountable for the big things; rather, focus on your personal choices that may not be perfect from time to time and do them as best you can and keep moving forward in life!
I will tell u honest I hate liars mainly cause not too many people lie i dont know why but i don't like liars.Honesty is a virtue, if you are suspicious and always thinking about what the other person is thinking then your life will be full of stress and it can be better for you to use other people's thoughts and make a judgement based off of them instead of being paranoid.
You have to be nice and friendly to your family and friends so that they will take advantage of you.Remember honesty is one but not the only virtue in your life, there are more as well if you do what's right here on earth.
Even though it may seem that honesty is just a virtue most of us still find in their life. We do not know how hard it is to not lie and tell the whole truth. As much as people may say they hate lying, we all do it on a regular basis. Whether it's to a friend or our parents, lying is part of everyday life and even though you know that it feels good to be honest, there are instances where lying can save someone's life.
In summary guys ,I know it isn't easy to say the truth sometimes but just one truth can save you a lot of trouble and stress (teenagers can relate with their parents )🤗.
